Now that it's sweater season, you can accessorize your fav cardigan with your own DIY sweater clip! Most vintage sweater clips (also know as sweater guards) are a little too granny looking for my taste, so I made a couple cool more modern versions. Why do you need a sweater clip? Well, I like the practicality of a sweater clip because buttoning the top button of cardigan can seem too constricting; the clip allows for some freedom and movement. It also takes the place of a necklace. What you'll need:
(I got everything at a fabric store except for the vintage earrings)
Various chains
Alligator clips, badge clips, clip-on earring posts, vintage clip-on earrings- will all work
Jump rings or o rings, small enough not to slip off the clip
Various studs, do-dads etc.- to customize
Wire cutters and needle nose pliers

How to:
Cut chain to size with wire cutters
Using the pliers, carefully attach the chain or chains to the jump ring and then attach the jump ring to each clip.
Clamp on your sweater and go!
